南法的夏天，又長又甜，普羅旺斯地區的傳統市集很美，今天從千泉之都的艾克斯開始，在傳統市集中間穿越翠綠的樹蔭，大傘下找鮮紅的草莓，潔白的奶油，及各種新鮮野蔬和香氣爆炸的花朵。

普羅旺斯一直是法國的一部分，但它仍然保持自己獨立的文化和語言的差異，最出色的包括各種美食融合了地中海沿岸和來自山區田園間的的各種豐富。

始於羅馬時代，普羅旺斯的事情，最著名的是她的葡萄酒和美食，而人的基本，不就是照顧好吃跟喝嗎？真是不好意思，請千萬原諒我開始歌頌這種美麗而又才華出眾的散漫生活。

I've landed in Provence, Aix-in-Provence to be exact.

The Aix en Provence markets animate the town with colours and noises. In the shadows of big umbrellas the market gardeners display their fruits and vegetables offering a shimmering palette from which emanate the smell of fresh mint, basil, rosemary and spices.

All are in the image of Provencal cuisine: authentic fresh varied and perfumed.

The culinary imagination takes its source there. It is also the place where people from Aix meet and talk. Saturday being the busiest day. Under the plane trees of the little Place Richelme takes place, all year round, a charming market with greengrocers who attract not only the housekeepers and the restaurants' chefs, but also the tourists who can find typical pictures to take.

We shopped morning, noon, and night in Provence. For Markets in Aix en Provence, I have every reason to love the market in the place.

The "big" markets of Aix take place in the city center squares: Place des Prêcheurs and Place de la Madeleine and in the surrounding areas (Encagnane, Jas de Bouffan...).

Pleasures in the south of France haven't diminished at all.

Everyone needs a carrot.

Fresh garlic, string beans...

Places for meeting and discovery, notably that of the sun-soaked gastronomic heritage, they are to be found in the numerous squares of the town centre and in the various “quartiers” different areas of the town.

As I say, the town pulls you toward its heart.

And the fruits were even more beautiful—small, sweet strawberries, baskets of red currants, figs, and apricots,....

 all sorts of peaches, nectarines, plums, and melons.

And so it was that we developed a routine, a rhythm, a kind of easygoing daily schedule, loosely correlated to hunger and appetite.

The vegetables were beautiful—densely colored peppers, eggplants, and tomatoes,...

In Aix there are as many markets as days in the week. From the vegetable market to the old book market, .....(You make me smile like the sun.)

Without forgetting the flower market, these animate the town with colours and sound. There are over 100 species to say: "I love you."

It is a world of exquisite blossoms and exotic smells.  

All this creates a human and warm animation.
